A Chartered Engineer (C.Eng(I)) is a senior engineer formally recognised by the Institution of Engineers (India). The status is granted only after years of professional practice and rigorous peer review. Chartered Engineers are authorised to issue valuations, technical certificates and expert opinions accepted by banks, courts, customs and government bodies.
